Virginia\u00a0Santiago Acu\u00f1a\u00a0has over five decades of experience in English education in the private and public sectors. She has\u00a0taught\u00a0students from kindergarten through high school and has spent the past 24 years teaching at the university level, including 12 years at UPR. With a Doctorate in Education specializing in Curriculum Design\u00a0from InterAmerican University, Dr. Acu\u00f1a has developed English curricula for private schools and gifted programs. She previously served as Director of the College of General Studies at the University of Phoenix\u2013Puerto Rico Campus, overseeing 62 faculty members and managing academic operations.\u00a0\u00a0Beyond academia, she engages in community service, including reforestation projects in Guaynabo and volunteer work with \u201cLa Casa de Todos\u201d orphanage. She currently contributes to the Landscaping Committee at Cond.
