She earned her Ph.D. in Literature of the English-Speaking Caribbean and holds advanced degrees in Communication, along with teaching certificates in ESL and Applied Linguistics from San Diego State University, a\u00a0Transdisciplinary\u00a0Research Certificate from the University of Puerto Rico, and a teaching credential in Adult Education from the State of California. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in Transformational Teaching and Leadership in Education, integrating mindfulness techniques into teaching. Dr. Pittmann\u00a0Doleto\u00a0has taught a wide range of courses in the English Department, as well as Research and Writing in English in the University Honors Program and classes in the B.A. Program in General Studies. A former editor of TESOL Gram, she has published articles, poetry, and short stories in scholarly journals and literary magazines. Her research explores memoir writing, Caribbean literature, and the integration of social-emotional learning and mindfulness in education.
