Katherine Miranda is Assistant Professor in the\u00a0English\u00a0Department, College of General Studies, UPR-RP. She holds a PhD in English with a specialization in Caribbean literature from UPR-RP, a MA in Education from Universidad de Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n, and a BA in Latin American Studies from New York University. Her areas of interest include\u00a0TESOL, public education\u00a0and pedagogy in Puerto Rico, and\u00a0the intersections of literature\u00a0and\u00a0social\u00a0justice\u00a0in the Caribbean.\u00a0\u00a0She serves as Contributing Editor of\u00a0<\/span>Sargasso: A Journal of Caribbean Literature, Languages and Culture<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0\u00a0Her scholarly articles have appeared in\u00a0numerous\u00a0peer-reviewed journals and edited collections, and she is the recipient of a dissertation fellowship from the American Association of University Women.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
