Virginia Santiago Acuña has over five decades of experience in English education in the private and public sectors. She has taught students from kindergarten through high school and has spent the past 24 years teaching at the university level, including 12 years at UPR. With a Doctorate in Education specializing in Curriculum Design from InterAmerican University, Dr. Acuña has developed English curricula for private schools and gifted programs. She previously served as Director of the College of General Studies at the University of Phoenix–Puerto Rico Campus, overseeing 62 faculty members and managing academic operations. Beyond academia, she engages in community service, including reforestation projects in Guaynabo and volunteer work with “La Casa de Todos” orphanage. She currently contributes to the Landscaping Committee at Cond. Coral Beach.
