Nadjah Ríos Villarini co-directs the UPR Caribe Digital Project, a Digital Humanities initiative affiliated with the College of General Studies, UPR-RP. She has been a professor in the Department of English at the same college since 2008. She earned her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin. She has collaborated in the development of several community archives, including the Historical Archive of Casa Pueblo, the Historical Archive of Vieques, and the Archive of the Culebra Foundation. Alongside the initiative DH Scholars in Residence, she has supported her students in creating the Juan Mari Brás Digital Archive, the Archive of the Waves Ahead Organization, and more recently, the Santaliz Archive of performer Kairiana Núñez. She enjoys thinking in the early hours of the morning and taking long walks in the Río Piedras Botanical Garden.
