    Lydia Platón Lázaro is an adjunct professor in the Department of English, College of General Studies, UPR-RP. She holds a PhD in English with a specialization in Caribbean literature from UPR-RP, an MA in Theater Studies from Université de Paris III, and a BA in French Literature from New York University. She is also a certified interpreter in the legal field, curator, and independent scholar. Her areas of interest include community arts and Caribbean performance. Her publications include books, contributions to numerous peer-reviewed journals, and edited anthologies. She has received several grants for research and cultural production.
