    Clifton Armstrong Pedersen is Assistant Professor in the English Department, College of General Studies, UPR-RP. He holds a Ph.D. in the Language and Literature of the Anglophone Caribbean from UPR-RP, an MA in English Education from UPR-Mayaguez, an MA in Music Theory from Florida State University and a BA in Music from Roberts Wesleyan University. His areas of interest include TESOL and Creole languages. His scholarly articles have appeared in peer-reviewed journals and in an edited collection. He has presented at conferences in Europe and in various places in the Caribbean. He has given piano recitals in Puerto Rico and the US, and his musical compositions have been performed in Florida, Rochester, New York, Arizona, New Hampshire, and Puerto Rico.
