In addition, she teaches the graduate course EING 6565 in the Bilingual ReCertification Program, a collaboration between UPR-RP and the Puerto Rico Department of Education. Dr. Torres-Cintrón is a two-time recipient of National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) grants, having participated in the seminars Shakespeare and Digital Storytelling, and The Decolonization of Literature through Charles Dickens. These experiences enrich her literature instruction by integrating historical and cultural perspectives with critical pedagogy. She is the author of the children’s book Fela y la Ciudad de los Sueños and hopes to continue writing children’s literature that highlight the contributions of Puerto Rican women on the island and the world.
