    Catilia Romero holds a BA in Education, an MA in British Literature, and is currently completing her PhD in Caribbean Studies at UPR-RP. She has taught at UPR-RP since 2012 in both the College of Humanities and General Studies and has organized conferences locally and participated in local and international conferences as well. Her published works include “Embodying and Understanding Trauma in Fred D’Aguiar’s The Longest” and “Damaged Identity in Jean-Robert Cadet’s Restavec: from Haitian Slave Child to Middle-Class American.” She has also worked as a translator for Poli/Graphics of Puerto Rico: Latin America and the Caribbean.
